That's awesome.

A while ago I made this. Spent the better part of a month painting it, only to later find out DOT and SNELL are not the same thing. So now it sits in a bag, never to see an autocross event.

You know what's not awesome?

Showing it to your IT colleagues, and having them tell you that you painted the Star Wars helmet (rebel alliance trooper-cadet or whatever the hell it is) wrong.

First off, that is so cool. Second, that looks like a whole lot of hard work to keep in a bag. The auto-x events I have been to, no one has checked the rating on my helmet, you just need to where one. You may be able to use it. What is the worst that can happen?

Thanks. Unfortunately for my cranial safety they do check at the one near me. They are pretty thorough with their safety inspections.
